Where we are

Polk Township is located in the northwest corner of Marshall County, Indiana. We are approximately 23 miles south of South Bend, IN. The township has an area of 49 square miles. U.S. 6 is the major highway running through the nothern half of the township.

Polk Township Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1976 as an all volunteer department. Station 1 is located in Tyner and Station 2 is in Teegarden. All of our emergency calls are received by 911 and are relayed to us by the dedicated dipatchers of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
